Screen Control via RS232 - Power On-Off based on Operating Hours.
Overview
The Screen Control feature allows displays to power on and off automatically according to their assigned operating hours, providing a hands-free way to manage screen power status.

How to Use Screen Control
- Request access to Screen Control for your organisation
- Contact [email protected] to request access to Screen Control.
- Accessing Screen Control
- Log in to your Doohly Web App.
- Navigate to a device.
- Click on the Settings tab.
- Adjusting Screen Control
- Adjust the operating hours to match your preferred schedule.
- Toggle to enable Screen Control.
- Select your screen model from our list of supported models.
- Make sure your device is physically connected to the screen via a COM Port.
- Select the COM Port (aka Communication Port/Serial Port).
- Optionally specify how many minutes before and after operating hours you would like the screen to turn on/off.
- Applying Changes
- Click Save to confirm your changes.
- The updated screen control settings will sync automatically with your device.
Troubleshooting
The display isn’t turning on/off as expected:
- Ensure the RS232 interface is properly connected.
- Verify that the display model supports RS232 commands for power control.
- Confirm that the operating hours have been set correctly in the Doohly Web App.
