Installing the Doohly Player
1. Ensure you have downloaded the most recent Windows version of the Doohly Player software on the media player.
2. Double-click the Doohly Player software to launch the installer.
3. Click "More Info".
4. Click "Run Anyway".
5. Doohly Player will now be installed, and a shortcut will be added to your Desktop.
6. By default, the Doohly Player is not scheduled to start up automatically when the media player is rebooted or turned on. To enforce Doohly Player to start up on boot, do the following steps:
- Press the "Windows" key + R
- In the "Open" box, type: shell:startup
- Copy the desktop shortcut to this folder.
Doohly Player will now run automatically on reboot.
7. When updating the Doohly player, Windows may make a request for approval, which may appear in front of the frame for a few seconds. To prevent this prompt from appearing each time the player is automatically updated, it is highly recommended that you download and run this script, which unblocks a firewall port, which the Doohly Player uses.
