Purchase Type Overview

What Is A Purchase Type

Purchase Types are a way of classifying bookings so that the Doohly player can determine which bookings to play in a loop.

Loops have a specific number of slots (although they may be overbookable), which means that not all bookings are able to be played within a given loop. The Player prioritises which bookings will be played based on their Purchase Type.

Available Purchase Types

Within Doohly, bookings can have one of four different Purchase types assigned. These Purchase types follow a hierarchy, with higher-level bookings having priority when loops are generated.

  • Sold

    • This is the highest level a booking can be given and will therefore have priority over bookings with other purchase types selected. Sold is used when the booking needs to play.
    • E.g: A booking that has been paid for and must play before a certain date.
  • Guaranteed Bonus

    • This is the second highest level a booking can be given, it will have priority over Non-Guaranteed Bonus and Filler bookings. Guaranteed Bonus is used when a booking should be played, but other bookings have a higher priority.
    • E.g: A booking that has been promised to play, but hasn’t necessarily been paid for.
  • Non-Guaranteed Bonus

    • This is the second lowest level a booking can be given and only has priority over Filler bookings. Non-Guaranteed Bonus is used when a booking can be played, but doesn’t need to.
    • E.g: An additional booking that is not paid for and is not required to be played.
  • Filler

    • This is the lowest level a booking can have, if there are any free slots left in a loop, they will be filled with Filler bookings.
    • E.g: A booking used to ensure that the device is not showing a standby image or black screen.
